Welcome to Nicky Ellis Horse and Rider Trainer
Nicky Ellis is a BHS qualified instructor and spent her first five years producing showjumpers and showhorses to BSJA regional and national level. Nicky has since worked and trained with international dressage rider Nicky Garratt, Ronnie Britton former chef d’equipe of the Irish junior dressage team and Olympic Gold medallist and international Dressage and Eventing coach Baron Hans von Blixen Finecke.
Nicky then went to Belgium and rode for World Champion showjumper Harry Theuwees and produced a national showjumping champion for four consequetive years.
She returned to the UK in 2000 and since then has specialised in re training difficult horses and teaching a wide variety of clients in showjumping, dressage and showing, and has produced winners at the top level Horse of the Year show.
Nicky’s unique style invoives teaching clients to progress their riding skills whether it be just for pleasure, or for serious competition riding. She is also a Master Practitioner in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and runs clinics for both rider and horse psychology which involves mental exercises to help both horse and rider overcome their fears.
She teaches in Cheshire and Staffordshire. Lesson prices start from £20.
It is nice to be back to winning ways after not competing for a month. We won the elementary and the following week the combined training at Beaver Hall.
