TO CLIP OR NOT TO CLIP
We are well in to January now ,It has been sub zero for most of the new year, and horses are just begining to look a little rough round the edges! It is just about o.k to do a second or for some a third clip.but is it really necessary.?very few equines work hard enough to warrrant it, i have been called in many times to "sort out" difficult horses. who are in actual fact just very cold! Think about it never have a fully clipped horse standing without a rug.,when grooming just pull rugs back.when walking in have a rug over the quarters.kids ponys have the worst lot standing around whilst the riders are having a chat putting up jumps , or finding tack.a full clip is often not ideal for the average kids pony.
